Welcome to our world!

My name is Ed. I have wanted to quit my day job and work on an environmentally friendly farm for over a decade now. With your help I may actually make this dream happen!

When I first started out, I did a lot of reading since I didn't know anything about farming. Everywhere I looked I saw the same pattern: Spray for weeds, use chemical fertilizers, if you want a change just plow it all up, kill everything with some more chemicals, and start all over again.   NO THANKS !!!

Just a whiff of the chemicals made me queasy, and the idea of tearing up the ground just didn't seem right. I've raised earthworms for years, and know how hard chemicals are on them. I could easily imagine what it must do to all the microbes in the soil. When I realized this is how most of the food we consume is raised, I became an organic fanatic. I also soon discovered that "Organic" is no guarantee of really healthy milk.

As I continued to read and study, I found out about raw milk, and decided it was for me. I visited Scott and Cindy of Kinnikin Corner Dairy near Montrose, and signed up. I also attended a Weston A Price (realmilk.com) function in Denver, and was blown away by how many people were there looking for raw milk. I visited with Kres and Julie of Ebert Farms raw milk dairy, and bought two Jersey cows from them. Next thing you know I was in the raw milk business!

I worry about all the chemicals that have passed through me over the years, in particular how many have stuck.  I am determined to minimize the amount of unnatural substances that flow through my body. I want to enjoy life to it's fullest by being as healthy as I can be. For me, raw milk is the foundation of a healthy diet.
